Former Daily Show host, Jon Stewart and his wife Tracey are now living a more relaxed lifestyle in the countryside of New Jersey, and they have transformed it into a sanctuary for abused animals, they want to take in animals from factory Farms.
The state gave them the go ahead to create their dream sanctuary and education center and the first animals to take residence on the 45 hectare farm are two piglets, named Anna and Maybelle, who fell off a cargo loader at a swine factory. Some other animals include a bull, goats and loads more!
Tracy has written a book which is titled; Do Unto Animals: A Friendly Guide to How Animals Live, and How We Can Make Their Lives Better, and John has retired from the show dedicating the majority of his time to the abused and neglected animals.
The farm is not yet open to the public but that doesn’t mean animals aren’t being taken in and cared for already, you can follow the process of Hockhockson Farm here: The Daily Squeal.
